Domain transfer is the process of moving your domain from your current provider to a different company. During this process, your domain registrar is changed. Additionally, internal transfers can also be performed, allowing you to transfer the domain to a different user within the same company. Once the domain transfer is completed, the registration period of your domain is automatically extended by 1 year.
A transfer code is required to move your domain. You can obtain this code from your previous domain provider. Enter the transfer code on the order screen to initiate the transfer process
Domain transfer processes for generic extensions (.COM, .NET, .INFO, .ORG, .BIZ, .TV) are completed within 7 to 10 days. This is a standard process set by ICANN and covers the time from when the transfer process begins.
To transfer your domain, the following conditions must be met: The domain must have been registered with your previous provider for at least 60 days. The domain should have more than 1 month remaining before expiration (this is not mandatory). You can transfer your domain if these conditions are met. Please verify this information with a Whois query. Additionally: The previous registrar should not have any outstanding charges. The administrative contact email must be functional. The person requesting the transfer must be the actual owner of the domain. The domain must be in an active status (not in a pending, deletion, or locked status). The transfer code must be provided. This code should be requested from the previous registrar or obtained from control panels.
Domain transfer processes can take between 7 to 10 days. Therefore, we recommend initiating the transfer process at least 15 days before the domain expires.
